Matcha is made from shade-grown green tea leaves, covered in the weeks before harvest to boost chlorophyll, L-theanine, and antioxidant production. The whole leaf is then stone-ground into an ultra-fine powder, which means you consume everything the plant has to offer rather than steeping and discarding it.
The result is up to 10x the concentration of antioxidants compared to steeped green tea, including EGCG, one of the most studied antioxidant compounds in the world, linked to immune support, reduced inflammation, and cellular health.
